Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data ConstructionCalc collects when you visit constructioncalc.org, why we collect it, who else sees it, and the rights you have over it. Last updated June 8, 2026.
1
Who is the controller
The data controller for ConstructionCalc is Moving Data Systems, digitalni marketing, d.o.o. (“Moving Data Systems d.o.o.”), a Slovenian limited liability company. Registered address: Smolnik 62, 2342 Ruše, Slovenia. Slovenian business registry number (matična): 9041273000. VAT identification number: SI94001154. Contact: info@constructioncalc.org.

What we collect & why
At launch, this site collects only the data needed to understand how visitors use the calculators so we can improve them. There are no advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no fingerprinting libraries, and no third-party tag manager.
Specifically, when you grant consent, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 collects pseudonymous identifiers, an approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser characteristics, the pages you view, and the order in which you view them. We do not knowingly collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying data through the analytics. The contact form route does not exist at launch; the only way to reach us is the info@constructioncalc.org email address shown on this page and on /contact.
3
Legal bases (GDPR)
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Consent for analytics cookies and the related processing by Google Analytics 4. You may withdraw consent at any time using the controls described below.
- Legitimate interests for the security and basic operation of the site (server logs, abuse prevention) — narrowly scoped and balanced against your rights and freedoms.
- Consent when you initiate contact via email; we use your address only to respond.
5
Processors and third parties
The following processors handle data on our behalf:
- Google Analytics 4 — Usage analytics (loaded only after a visitor grants consent); data may be processed in United States.
- Vercel — Hosting and content delivery; data may be processed in United States.
Fonts are self-hosted as part of the deployment, so the page does not call out to Google Fonts at runtime. No advertising network is integrated at launch; when one is, we will update this policy and the consent banner before any ad-related processing begins.
6
International transfers
Because both Google and Vercel operate in the United States, your data may be processed there. Transfers from the EEA / UK / Switzerland rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We do not transfer your data to jurisdictions that lack appropriate safeguards.
7
Retention
We retain analytics data per our Google Analytics retention setting (configurable between 2 and 14 months); see Google's documentation for what each value covers. Server logs are retained for the shortest period our hosting provider supports consistent with troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle the request.
8
Your GDPR rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
- Restriction — request that we limit processing in certain circumstances.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — applicable to analytics; withdrawing does not affect prior lawful processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@constructioncalc.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian supervisory authority, Informacijski pooblaščenec.
9
California (CCPA / CPRA) rights
California residents have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, to delete that information, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of it. At launch the site uses only Google Analytics 4 and does not sell or share personal information. If we add an advertising network in the future, we will add a clear “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control and update this policy before any such processing begins.
10
Children
ConstructionCalc is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact info@constructioncalc.org and we will delete it.
11
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our processing changes (for example, when Raptive advertising goes live). The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current edition. Substantive changes will be reflected on the home page or via the consent banner where appropriate.
