Cookie Policy
This page lists every cookie ConstructionCalc can set, explains the consent mechanism, and shows how to control or withdraw consent. It is kept in sync with the privacy policy. Last updated June 8, 2026.

Consent mechanism
The site uses Google Consent Mode v2. On every page, all four storage signals — analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization — default to denied until you make a choice. A consent banner appears on your first visit when a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID is configured for the site.
When you select Accept, the same four signals are updated to granted and the Google Analytics 4 script loads after that point. Selecting Rejectleaves the signals denied and the analytics script never loads. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key cc-consent-v1 so you are not asked again on future visits to the same browser.

How to control cookies
You control cookies in two places. First, the consent banner on the site itself: Reject stops the analytics script from loading, and Accept allows it. Clearing your browser's site data for constructioncalc.org removes the stored choice, which will cause the banner to reappear on your next visit.
Second, your browser. Every modern browser lets you block third-party cookies, clear site data, or run in a private/incognito window that drops cookies when closed. Those controls work independently of our consent banner — if you reject in the browser, the analytics script will not be able to read or write its cookies regardless of what is stored on this site.

What is not here yet
There are no advertising cookies on the site today because no ad network is integrated. When advertising goes live, we will update this policy and the privacy policy first, and the consent banner will manage advertising and analytics together through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform. We will not begin advertising-related processing before that update.
